NASA is working now to launch the new Artemis 1 "mega moon rocket" for the first time to begin a new generation of manned lunar exploration.
The first launch attempt on September 3 had to be scrubbed because of a problem with one of the four massive rocket engines. Work continues on the next launch attempt, probably in mid-October, which will send an unmanned capsule to the Moon and back.
