Using Binoculars for Astronomy - Hands-on DemonstrationSteve Rainey

Binoculars are great for astronomy, especially for beginners. But many experienced astronomers always have a pair (or two) handy with their telescopes.

Steve will explain various options from simple to specialized, hand-held to tripod-mounted. We'll also demonstrate a set of large astronomical binoculars on a parallelogram mount the the club has just acquired.

We'll then go outside and learn what we can see in the night sky.

Please bring binoculars if you have them.

Maturango Museum

Meetings and programs are open to the public, and are held at Maturango Museum on the first Monday of every month (or the following Monday for holidays).
