We will set up solar telescopes from 10:00 AM - noon outside Maturango Museum as part of their program to celebrate the Autumnal Equinox (which officially occurs Friday night at 11:51:15 PM in Ridgecrest). This marks the official end of Summer and first day of Fall.

The Sun does not look any different at this time, but it's very active this year, with plenty of sunspots, solar prominences, and other activity now.
